The KREBS® heavy-duty slurry knife gate valves from FLSmidth, distributed exclusively for Italy by Audco Italiana, represent cutting-edge engineering solutions for controlling and isolating abrasive slurry flows in extreme mining and industrial environments. Technical Description

All variants of Knife Gate Valves KREBS® share ductile iron ASTM A536 epoxy-coated bodies, 17-4 PH stainless gates gliding between massive sleeves (natural rubber, high-temp EPDM, neoprene, nitrile) for bubble-tight shutoff sans dehydration-prone packing glands. Solids expel downward via dedicated ports, machined body guides skip spacer bars, anti-splash protections and zinc-plated hardware ensure longevity. Versatile actuators (pneumatic w/ manual override/spring-return, hydraulic, handwheel, bevel gear, electric) fit metric/imperial/Victaulic flanges, with simplified maintenance enabling >1M cycles in deep mines.

TGH Variant (High-Pressure)

Tailored for high-abrasion slurries, delivers up to 300 PSI (20.7 bar) with wide body and integrated flush ports. Sizes 2"-36" (50-900 mm), -51°C to +149°C; gate fully out-of-flow when open minimizes pressure loss. Suited for standard mining circuits, zero-downtime sleeve swaps, optional ferrous magnets.

TGHP Variant (High-Pressure Flanged)

Fully flanged for rigid turbulent-flow installs, retains 300 PSI and identical sizing/temp as TGH but adds dual seating for zero downstream leakage. Integrated flat-face flanges double as gaskets, structural splash guards and manual lockout boost operator safety; cuts install time 30% in fixed plants.

TGHP Extra High-Pressure Variant

For harshest duties, hits 740 PSI (51 bar) via reinforced ductile/steel body, polymer-coated or C-276 gates for aggressive corrosion, heavy-duty sleeves. Enhanced solids expulsion for >50% solids slurries, advanced dust boots, priority hydraulic actuators; optimized Cv for high flow under pressure.

TGW Variant (Wafer Style)

Compact narrow-body for tight spaces, 150 PSI (10 bar), sizes 2"-24" (50-600 mm). Field-replaceable wiper/secondary seal redirects solids, grease ports ease lubing; excels in cement, coal, wastewater with reduced face-to-face and flush ports for gate cleaning.
